As usual, Rapunzel had dropped her long and beautiful hair to the bottom of the tower for her adored prince to climb and visit her. She was worried as the prince wasn’t coming up, then she was completely disappointed to see that her prince had forgotten about her as he had discovered a carrot plantation at the castle’s garden. How could this happen? ….Simply, the witch, who had discovered Rapunzel’s secret, began planning a way of keeping her away from the prince and after a lot of thinking, she found a very simple solution. Using her magic she created an enchanted carrot plantation, to which the prince was simply drawn to by his own gluttony … and once he had tasted the first carrot, he’d forgot all about his beloved thus changing the end of the story forever .

Como de costumbre, Rapunzel soltó su hermosa cabellera para que su adorado príncipe subiera.

Pero su asombro fue grande al ver que su príncipe no subía, por que seria?

Oh pobre Rapunzel…quien lo diría…que tu príncipe de ti se olvidaría porque Zanahorias comía?!

Y es que la bruja, que mucho de magia sabía y de tonta nada tenía, descubrió que Rapunzel algo escondía.

Así que utilizando tanta inteligencia concluyo el cuento con una simple ocurrencia;

Un sembradío de zanahorias conjugaría del cual el príncipe comería

Pues su glotonería allí lo llevaría y de su adorada princesa se olvidaría.

Still having fun with vectors, I think this illustration still needs some final touches … maybe textures? Any suggestions? / Creo que a esta ilustración aun le falta algo; serán texturas? Alguna sugerencia?

I am so delighted with the illustrations of zappy and me done by great Monday Artday artists; this week‘s challenge was to illustrate our favorite MA artists, and it’s an honor that these great guys considered me as one of them! WINNING ALPHABET

Remember the IF alphabet post???...Well, last week, the Monday Artday weekly challenge was illustrating an alphabet; that was a great opportunity for finishing my Furious Alpahbet, so I did it and guess what?...i won!!! I’m so happy! –this is the complete furious alphabet, hope you like it too!

COFFEE-THEME GROUP TRADE

At Monday Artday ATC we have group trades. Coffee was the theme for the first one, hosted by JC, who did an incredible work …we thank her for that! Now, want to know more about it? It’s simple; every one sends three cards and receives other three in return...you don’t choose what you get; it’s a surprise...lot of fun! These are the awesome cards I got, clock wise:

- “I Love ATCs” by JC, limited-edition print-out by the host of the trade, a lovely souvenir, I love the idea!

- “Coffee Bean” by Karin Nichols, the original card is great, very neat with a lot of texture and spark that can’t be seen in the digital image. This is the first card I get from Karin and hope we can trade again very soon.

- “Coffea Canephora” by Emilia Yusof, this is not the first card I get from her, but every time I see one of her cards I’m amazed…what a great work! Very pro!

- “Birth of Venus Coffee Mug” by JC, from her "favourite artists coffee mug" series. I love Botticelli, and now I love my great mug card too! JC’s got lovely series of cards, and I’m so lucky to have some of them…and hope I’ll have some more very soon!

I hope the new owners of my cards are as happy as I am with these cuties. Thank you all…It feels so great to trade with such talented –and nice – artists…you are great!

SOME ZOO ANIMALS

I found some little animals having a relaxing time over my laptop...i wonder where could these creatures come from?! The giraffe was telling the crocodile that they must get running before anyone could see them, but the croco was so relaxed that didn't move at all....now I've moved them to the "greener" surface i could find - here it 's gray cos it looked too much green for the blog. ; )

SELF-PORTRAIT

Unfortunately...I'm not as happy as in my first self-portrait...actually, I'm not happy at all....if you have heard the news you know why...what is happening here in Lebanon scares me a lot / Lamentablemente no estoy tan feliz como cuando dibuje mi primer autorretrato…realmente, no estoy nada feliz…si han oído las noticias ya sabrán porque…lo que pasa aquí en el Líbano me da miedo y mucha tristeza...Dios quiera todo mejore pronto!

SEW A PILLOW

I’m used to working according to specs (arch.), and as in this weekly challenge (sew a pillow) there were no specs about the size, material, or purpose… I actually SEW A PILLOW; a little plasticine pillow for a little cute kitty, but it is a pillow after all! Hope I was convincing and this pillow counts for the challenge, but if it doesn’t…I won’t be so disappointed because I really enjoyed sewing it! (By the way, sewing plasticine is creepy!)

Central composition detail

Hell is always associated with fire, and suffering... the destiny of the "bad guys"...
But great fires and suffering are spreading all over the world, right here, right now....affecting a huge number of Innocent people...
so...what difference is there between war and the image we have of hell?

I know that I'm not going to hell ( I've been vvvvv good), but I've experienced war ( last year in Lebanon) and i would never forget that!

For this illustration i used a photo of a Lebanese man carrying his dead daughter during last year's war.... his face expresses a lot of suffering and pain...

HEAVEN -II
